10 Amazing Vacation Spots in Africa

1. Victoria Falls, Zambia and Zimbabwe

Victoria Falls is one of the most beautiful and spectacular waterfalls in the world. Known to locals as Mosi-oa-Tunya, or “The Cloud That Thunders”, it is loved by visitors for its beauty, boasting spray from a little over 354 feet high cascade…twice the spray of Niagara Falls.

2. The Great Migration, Tanzania

More than one million wildebeest and hundreds of thousands of zebras make their annual migration in this region.

This year-round migration is the result of the animals moving from Tanzania’s Ngorongoro Reserve at the beginning of the year, up through the Serengeti around mid-year, then hitting Kenya’s Masai Mara around September, before repeating this journey heading southward again.

4. Sahara Dunes, Morocco

Visitors can trek with Berbers from the town of Zagoura, or camp out in Tazzarine. 5. Sossusvlei Dunes, Namibia

Sossusvlei literally translates to “the gathering place of water”, even though the area is actually very arid, and you will need to bring plenty of water to stay hydrated. The dunes is the result of material flowing from the Orange River into the Atlantic, going north and returning to land by the surf.  The dunes have developed over millions of years. Climbers of the dunes will experience very amazing views.

6. Spitzkoppe, Namibia

9. Makgadikgadi Pans, Botswana
