Costa Rica offers incredible biodiversity and many different climates, giving the destination traveler a variety of destinations and activities to explore and enjoy. Costa Rica is known for its rainforests, and one of its most notable natural features is the Arenal Volcano. The volcano is most impressive, and is located in the 29,960-acre Arenal Volcano National Park. Even though the volcano entered a resting stage or a pause during eruptions starting in 2010, the volcano is still a stunning sight. The volcano rises above a stunning rainforest. The surrounding area hosts an abundance of activities for all travelers such as whitewater rafting, waterfall rappelling, hiking and canopy tours, as well as tours of the town of La Fortuna.


Central Pacific Region of Costa Rica

Caribbean Coast of Costa Rica

If you are looking for a place that is known for its laidback attitude and famous for surfing, then Puerto Viejo is an excellent choice for your Costa Rican adventure.  The village’s cultural influences are interesting for sure: a mix of Afro-Caribbean, Bribri Indian, tico and hippyesque cultures, this small port town is an anthropological study in itself and is located 11 miles from Cahuita.


Caribbean Coast of Costa Rica

Tortugero is located along the Caribbean Coast is located next to a National Park. This area of Costa Rica is full of sun, is populated with sparsely coastal villages and offers a uniquely completely laid back and relaxed atmosphere. The culture is vastly different on this coast compared to the rest of the country. The cuisine is delicious and this is due in most part because of the prominent Afro-Caribbean influence that is so strong in this region.
