The Apartheid Museum

The Apartheid Museum takes you on an emotional journey of the apartheid era. The apartheid story is told through a combination of newspaper clippings, film footage, artifacts, and personal accounts. The exhibits are intense and thought provoking and provide guests with powerful lessons of decades of oppression. To get the most from this experience, it is recommended that you allow at least two hours.

Constitution Hill

Located in Braamfontein, this site is reminiscent of some of the darkest hours in South Africa during the 20th century. It also shows the hope and promise of a brighter more optimistic future in the modern Constitutional Court. This must see attraction is broken into four parts, Old Fort, The Women’s Gaol, Number 4 Prison Block, and Constitutional Court.

South-West of Johannesburg, the township of Soweto is known for its significant role in the fight against apartheid.
